Schmucker's was started back in 1987, by Bryan and Becky Schmucker as a retail specialty lumber business, making small or large quantities of American hardwoods available to anyone at fair prices. In the beginning we offered only the standard domestics such as: red oak, white oak, cherry, ash, maple, walnut and hickory.
We quickly attracted customers who wanted figured domestic hardwoods and ventured into curly and quarter-sawn domestics. We pride ourselves on having the largest variety of figured domestic hardwoods in Kansas! We realized there were numerous species out there and began offering exotic woods to our customers in a variety of figured species, which was the next addition of wood selections in our inventory.

IN 2003 SCHMUCKER LUMBER EXPANDED INTO THE
METAL MANUFACTURING OF RIBBED SHEET METAL AND TRIM LINE.
We expanded our inventory to include building materials for housing, polebarns, garages, and decking material. We are one of the Largest Redwood and Cedar suppliers in Kansas offering many different sizes, thickness and lengths. We stock framing lumber- from 2 x 4 to 2 x 12’s from 8′ long up to 20′ lengths. Plywood, Shingles, Siding materials, Cedar, Redwood, Treated, Composite decking, Rough green oak, insulation, nails, screws and everything to help build your Home, Garage, Pole Barn, Metal Building, Decks and all your projects.

In 2003, Schmucker Lumber expanded into the Metal Manufacturing of Ribbed Sheet Metal and Trim Line. We are able to provide metal panels cut to lengths from 12″ to 42′, plus bending and forming. Quick service is just the beginning. When it comes to making things happen – we are the only people to call on. With our roll former on site our automated operation gives us an advantage over all our competitors. Once you place an order, we execute with-in 2-3 working days. We have 15 different colors to choose from in stock. Custom made metal trim to fit any job specification is our specialty also.
